MOSCOW, Jul 5 (PRIME) -- Flights to Turkey will be carried out from 13 more Russian cities from July 12, the Federal Air Transport Agency said in a statement on Monday.

“The number of the Russian cities from which the carrying out of scheduled and non-scheduled flights to Turkey is permitted has been increased. From July 12, 2021, Russian and Turkish airlines can fly from 45 international airports of Russia, including from (the cities) of Barnaul, Belgorod, Volgograd, Voronezh, Kaluga, Krasnodar, Lipetsk, Nalchik, Orenburg, Saratov, Sochi, Tyumen, and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk,” the agency said.

Izmir was added to the list of the Turkish cities accepting flights from Russia.

Russia resumed air travel with Turkey, which was suspended in April amid an unfavorable coronavirus situation there, from June 22 by clearing flights to Istanbul, Ankara, Antalya, Dalaman, and Bodrum.
